About
Making mahjong easier to understand and easier to enjoy.
Why I Made This Site
This site started when I taught mahjong to my child, who is in elementary school. Whenever we played together, I kept getting asked, "Do I have a yaku?" and "How many points is this?"
Each time, I had to look up the yaku or work out the score. Mahjong is fun, but there is a lot to learn, and explaining it to a beginner is not easy. So I decided to make something that lets you check yaku, rules and scoring quickly, without getting lost.
What This Site Aims For
I want this site to be useful for people who have just started mahjong, people coming back after a long break, and people who want to check something quickly in the middle of a game.
When looking something up takes effort, checking at all starts to feel like a chore. That's why this site focuses on getting you to the answer you need as quickly as possible.
About Running the Site
I build and run this site on my own. While enjoying mahjong myself, I keep adding things little by little whenever I think, "This could be clearer" or "A feature like this would be handy."
